The fourth full length release from Todd Stapleton comes in the form of Resonance / Forms. which was initially conceptualized as two separate projects. The intent of the Resonance sessions was to record a series of fifteen short-form improvisations exploring simple, textured layers of ambient sound created from a multiplicity of synthesizers. The Forms. sessions was originally an idea revolving around dream interpretations over a period of extended time, utilizing abstract textures from electronics, synthesizers, acoustic piano and the processing of sampled voice. The result from melding both sessions together as one unified project became what could be considered his most abstract release to date.
